Models & Prototypes
Seeing the first physical model or prototype of a new product is a large and exciting step. No matter how much you have studied sketches and CAD drawings, it is a meeting with the product - for real. Now you can test its functions and study and experience the design, materials and textures in real life.
Semcon develops models and prototypes for all possible products and purposes, everything from vehicles to parts made of composite materials. The materials we work with include everything from clay to steel and carbon fibre. We help you choose the method and material depending on whether the model/prototype will be used for functional testing, in an exhibition or tested in a wind tunnel.
Our engineering staff are skilled craftsmen. Among other things, they work with traditional wood and metal machines, vacuum design, composites and CNC machines capable of working with both hard and soft materials, from Styrofoam to titanium.
